PSB Speakers is one of the few speaker brands where the founder is still highly involved, after more than 30 years! Paul Barton is the acoustics engineer and chief designer of the entire product range.

PSB speakers have become a household name with music lovers and hi-fi fundis in the domestic market in Canada. It is also currently establishing itself in North America as one of the premier brands for musicality, value for money and as an over-performer when it comes to "bang-for-your-buck".

The "stereo" versions, for which there are voice matched AV center and AV Surround partners, comprise four ranges.

The PSB APLHA series is also available in the smaller Intro version, more suitable for the lifestyle unobtrusive look market, and the ALPHA series proper. It includes the floor standing ALPHA T1, the smaller bookshelf type ALPHA B1 with the matching ALPHA C1 AV center. The new PSB Image series models are generally larger and in more stylish cabinets. As the name suggests, the speakers have the ability to create an out of the box sound stage and very life like performance. Yet the T6, the largest Tower model in the range, will impress with its delicate nuances and attention to detail when required. In late 2007 the new flagship range Synchrony was introduced. The Synchrony One tower model goes lower in bass response than a PSB favourite of many years - the Stratus Gold i. Quote an achievement given the much smaller footprint and sleeker design of the Synchrony Series. Synchrony has been very well received by the very critical North American press. One publication said about the Synchrony One that it is a "must audition speaker, even if one is considering to spend up to four times more!"

The Active Subwoofer line up, starting with the recently introduced and very affordable Sub Series 1, has built an enviable reputation for not only delivering when it comes to movies, but also being very adapt in producing music. Many subwoofers have fallen into the "woof" trap - noisy as hell when it comes to movies, but falling short when required to be tight, controlled and dynamic in the interest of music.

The subwoofer lineup has received a lot of praise and awards - the SubSeries1, the SubSonic5i, the SubSonic6i . New to the subwoofer line up are the HD8 and HD10. Compact and very high powered.
